Accessible Playground

Every child should have the opportunity to swing, climb, spin and play.  In 2009, United Way of Hocking County took the lead role in a team effort to build an accessible playground in one of our city parks.   Many good-hearted people in our community came together to make this special playground a reality.  Thank you!

Empty Bowls

This very special event is held annually in late October in conjunction with National Make A Difference Day.  For a $10 donation, patrons are treated to a soup luncheon and may choose handmade or hand-painted ceramic bowls created by local potters and artists.  The keepsake bowl reminds folks to always keep bowls filled for local, needy residents in an expanded effort to continue the fight against hunger in Hocking County. Proceeds from the event benefit United Way of Hocking County and the Hocking, Athens, Perry Community Action's Food Bank (HAPCAP), with funds earmarked for the local food pantries including our partner agencies CHAP, the Smith Chapel Food Ministry & Clothing Center, and the  Laurelville Community Food Pantry & Emergency Clothing Center.

Spring Fling

The second annual Spring Fling Dance will be hosted at Lee's Banquet Haus located at 580 Radio Lane, Logan, on Saturday, April 17, 2010.  The annual event that welcomes spring to the Hocking Valley serves as the final fundraiser of the campaign year for United Way of Hocking County.

Kick-Off Dinner & Cake Auction

The first week of October brings this event around to officially start our campaign drive.  In addition to a motivational speaker from the community, it features a very lively cake auction with some creative goodies up for bid.
